      The more precise and sensitive analysis instruments become, the more significant is an adequate sample preparation of the sample material.

       

      Mistakes made during sampling and preparation are carried over into the analysis and can substantially falsify the result. Deviations of repeat measurements then are consequently no mistake of the measuring unit, but of an inhomogeneous sampling. Reproducible results are only possible when the sample material is prepared absolutely precise; and the obtained sample is equal to the entire batch.

      LABORETTE 27

      Example: Sample division

      A sample for the Laser Particle Sizer ANALYSETTE 22 (approximately 50 mg – 1 g) should in the included particle kind and distribution correspond with the entire material. For the division of dry laboratory samples or suspensions, is the Rotary Cone Sample Divider LABORETTE 27 very well suited since various division heads with different division ratios can be selected.

       

      Depending on the division heads up to 3000 division steps per minute are possible. Possible division ratios are: 1:8, 1:10 and 1:30.

       

      A sample can also be divided step by step. For example, when using the division head 1:10 and then the division head 1:30, the amount needed for the Laser Particle Sizer can be easily produced. The sample obtained in this manner is then deglomerated.
